This past week has been quite an exciting one! After spending A LOT of time in my beautiful
gilded cage, my hostesses took me out and did a photo-shoot with me in front of
a bunch of colorful signs. The signs had
words like “vote”, “proposition”, and “L No” on them, and I think they were on
the lawn of the crazy men who put me in my shiny prison! I have to say, I think those four ladies may
have had too much candy that night… I
guess that’s what people mean by Trick or Treat!
Anyway, I was put back into my home soon after. I thought that was the end of my fun, but I
was mistaken! Just a few days later, two
of the ladies took me out again! This
time they put me in a moving house and drove to a place with flying metal
birds. At first I was really scared
because I remember, when I was really young, birds coming to my first home and
eating some of my friends! The
horror! However, these were nice birds,
and their nest was really fun. My
friends, who I will call “The Girls” from this point on, took some pictures of
me to prove it!
Here’s me
with a very nice drink and some flowers.
It’s really weird, but the birds required a “ticket” to ride them. These birds were very professional
creatures. Oh! And make sure if you ever visit the birds and
their nest, make sure to get one of these delicious drinks. They made me feel a lot better about flying.
Here I am
with my friend, the bird. Getting ready
to take off! Can’t you see how excited I am??
I’m smiling from stem to stem!
Later, we actually went INSIDE a bird! It was not what I expected at all! Everything was clean and shiny and there were
other people inside too! I think I got
to take a picture with the bird’s heart.
Considering the size of the bird, I thought it would be bigger…. Maybe I don’t know avian anatomy as well as I
thought I did.
Then we were off! I was so scared at first, but then I began to like it. It was really fun seeing everything below me! I've never felt so big! After a few hours, we landed in a place called Houston. I over heard The Girls talking about how excited they were to see their friends, Kermie and Algy. Once we got to see them, I met their son Trey.
Isn't he ADORABLE?!?!?
The Girls got to catch up with their friends and then we spent the night. The next morning, we were off again!
After a very unexpected journey, we landed in a
place I had never been before. It was so
colorful and bright and LOUD. It was the
magical land of New Orleans.
The Girls seemed really excited, so I became really excited! Then we had an even bigger surprise! The two other ladies from the sign photo shoot were there waiting for us too! And they brought a friend with them, although he was not a squash like me:( He seemed nice, nonetheless.
Then, they all got into a machine, similar to the one that
took us to the nest, and they got big, colorful drinks that made them laugh and
act like the way they did the night of the photo shoot. People are weird.
Luckily for me, I was put a way for the day. I was sooooo tired that I didn’t care I was
missing out. I overheard them saying
they had a lot more adventure in this city and I was going to join them. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!
I was able to sneak away and use a computer to write this
blog out. Considering how much of the
colorful liquid the people are drinking, it looks like I will have time to do
this again. I’ll make sure to keep you updated on all my adventures in this awesome city!
Please keep checking back!
I’ll post more pictures soon!
Sincerely,
Little Squash
